The job market this week: how AI is affecting the IT job search
There's more work for AI — not less. According to analysis by the World Economic Forum, ILO and PwC (GoodFinance, 17.09), in roles where AI takes over the routine work there are twice as many openings, and salaries are growing 42% faster than the market average.
USA: +640,000 AI jobs — and the disappearance of "entry-level" roles. Since 2023, AI has created around 640,000 new roles in development, engineering and data, but at the same time the routine tasks that used to go to juniors are being automated (ZN.ua, 14.09).
The gap for young professionals has grown to 19 percentage points. Research from the Stanford Digital Economy Lab showed that in professions vulnerable to AI, it has become noticeably harder for juniors and mids to land a first or next role on the job market.

Career strategy from scratch: how to prepare for an interview
You've come the whole way: positioning → CV and cover letter → LinkedIn → job search strategies. One last and most "live" stage remains — the conversation, where all of this has to be said out loud.
The most common mistake at this stage
An example question and how to answer it: instead of a generic "I'm responsible and a good communicator" — give it structure: situation → what exactly you did → the result in numbers. That's what a recruiter is waiting for when they ask about your experience.
Challenge of the week (5–10 min):
- Write down the 3 questions you fear most in an interview
- For each one — a single sentence with a concrete example from your experience (a number, a result, a situation)
- Read it out loud — actually out loud, not in your head
People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.
In an interview, your words will be forgotten faster than the impression you leave.
